I GOT MARRIED!!!! How I Planned My Perfect Day

Photo's By Nina Lange

AHHHHHH!!!!! I am officially married to my best friend, the love of my life, and my partner in everything…Joseph King Gardner V! After 2 and half years of being together, we finally walked down the aisle, said our vows in front of all of our friends and family and had THE MOST MAGICAL day of our lives! The ceremony was so emotional for myself and my mother, of course, seeing her baby girl getting married (Before my older sister and brother) I don’t know what it is about weddings, But everyone seems to cry in happiness and seeing the bride all dressed up feeling like a princess, but it heightens all the feels. I was laughing, crying and very anxious at the same time but I think every bride gets nervous before the grand entrance.
But before any of the weddings happen I moved from the United Kingdom Leicestershire all the way to the United States, Oklahoma to be with my husband and that is when the wedding begins to take place (Well we planned most of it while I was in the United Kingdom).

So I want to show you how I planned my wedding and how we made it how it was, But I do wish I could turn back time and do it all over again! Seeing my family again and feel like a princess all over again.

#1 The Dress
As soon as Joey got down on one knee and we got engaged I was on the hunt for my wedding dress, I won't lie I didn't have the funds to shop for a dress on the high street. But of course, I thought you might be able to grab a deal online which I did thanks to JJSHousing. My dress in a high street store was being sold for £1,550 but on JJSHousing I grab it for £250 BARGAIN.

#2 The Venue
Now the venue was a tricky one to finally agree on because we were looking at so many different venues from your modern church, outdoor gardens, SO SO many different places until one day we went to visit the zoo and Joey said "What about doing it here at the zoo" and my heart was just set! So we spoke to the event manager and degaussed more about it and POOF! a Zoo wedding was booked.
#3 The Invitations
Now the invites weren't too bad because we knew the color theme so I went on vista print and I found the perfect ones that I wanted.
#4 The Cake
I went ahead and made my own wedding cake cause if you have followed me for a while now you know that I make a lot of birthday cakes, cupcakes any kind of baking I do so I set my self a challenge and made my first very own wedding cake and i must say everyone loved it and i love how it turned out at the end it was the centerpiece of the whole party.

#5 Centerpieces
Now with the budget me and Joey had set on the wedding I thought it would be a great idea to make our own which that we can keep and placing them in our new house so of course, we went with classic pink roses and bird cages. (very girly I must say but hey I love my girly things)

#6 The First Dance
This part took me a while to do because I wanted our first dance song to be beautiful and I was torn between so many different songs and Joey told me he wanted nothing to do with this part its all me. So I was searching a lot of popular wedding songs and thing Hmm.. yes and Hmm.. maybe when the list become over 25 songs!!! I MEAN CRAZY!. But one night I was nosing through facebook (as you do.) and I came across and the couple called Caleb and Kelsey, If you don't know who they are then please find them on YouTube they are such an amazing couple. I came across one song that just melted my heart and I knew that it had to be this one, It just matched me and Joey perfectly and the words to mean everything to us.

# 7 The Extras (So this post isn't too long)
There is just so much to talk about! But I didn't want to make this post to long for you all even though I could make it so big that my fingers would hurt from typing so much!. But the last couple of parts I wanted to tell you was our photographer and our food, Now with the food, I thought it would be really cute if we went with a British theme dinner so OF COURSE a Sunday roast! (Americans don't know what that is) and a Strawberry Shortcake for pudding!! YUMMY everyone seems to love it and thought it was great having it has a British style meal.

Our beautiful photographer Nina Lange she is the sweetest girl I have ever met and her making the time with college and getting assignments done to capture our magical day with just unbelievable. She spent the whole day with us from getting ready to the last dance and she captures some special moments of me and my husband and our families that we will never forget!
