How to draw a rose
Hey guy's I thought it was time to do another step by step guild for you all, I know many people love drawing roses and I want to share with you my quick and easy way of drawing your very own rose.
Enjoy!
Step One
Draw a curving line like a backwards 'S' this is the baseline of the image. Take your time getting it right until you are happy with it. Below it add a wavy line to give the petal impression and to enhance the flow of the curve.
*Should look like image above.
Step Two
Add a spiral above the backwards 'S' joining it mid-point to the backwards 'S' to form the flowers central cluster of petals. Add a flick upwards to the left to add another outwardly turned petal.
*Should look like image above.
Step Three
From the flowers core, add a curved line going up and to the left meeting one third up along the backwards 'S' this is the second petal completed. From the base of the backwards 'S' add two curves to give shape to your flower. Then your rose is coming to life.
*Should look like image above.
Step Four
Add a series of small curved lines from the base of the flower to make your leaves, I wouldn't add any more then four, Make sure you take your time to make them how you want them to be. On your two front leaves add to lines in the centre.
*Should look like image above.
Step Five
Add two small spiked leaves, to do this simply draw an upside down Christmas tree cut off at the base. Finally add a long gently curved set of vertical lines, this will be the stem, Once you have it to your liking then add 3 tiny triangles on your stem, At the bottom point of your stem add a leaves of you choice.
*Should look like image above.
Completed!
*Should look like image above.
Once your happy with your rose you can colour to your liking.
Let me know how you got on with this step by step guy's show me your drawings below in the comments I would love to see how you got on with your rose or roses.
Hope you enjoyed reading and drawing
